The Curse
You cling to me helplessly as I lay dying
You drain me of all I have and more
I want to tear you from my heart;
To remove the cancer that is love
My tears are haunted with the thought
My pain flowing from the presence
You fill my lungs and drown me from within.
The unwanted pain you bring me is too much to bear
For I feel the cancer will soon kill me
With every break of my heart I grow weaker
And I resent you more and more
You taunt and tease me with something so close
Yet so very far away
But still I want you so badly
I want you so badly it hurts
Because deep in my broken heart
I know
I will never have you
