Trapped
Trapped.
Trapped inside me.
Foreign fingers brushing against steel objects,
I feel nothing.
Breath inhaled,
Oxygen filling empty lungs.
I feel nothing.
Eyes blinking tears,
Rolling down plastic red cheeks.
I feel nothing.
Nothing at all.
Trapped inside the girl staring back at me,
Stuck in the dark past
Of someone I used to be,
Confined in a body I wish I did not own.
Buried in the lies,
The walls,
The peachy smile screaming-
“LET ME OUT”
And still she persists,
Still she must control
Everything-
Still she traps me inside her.
Trapped.
Trapped for so long –
That I feel nothing at all.
