To see you
Shouldn't it be the other way around,
avoiding the packed hallways, the scramble of bodies
some of them unwashed, all of them sad, or anxious.

Shouldn't I not want to go to class?
 listen to the lectures,
fail another test because I just don't know the answers.
The teachers hard, moving too fast to keep up this early in the morning.

 But I do.
I want to sit through the lectures, the tests.
Waiting for lunch, for that one study hall,
 That one class.
Because I know I get to see you,
Even if you don't see me.
