Days,Nights,and Follies
Days are gone
Nights return.
I lie awake waiting
Waiting for the sun to burn.
Days return
Nights are gone.
The owl rests his head
The curtains drawn.
The ocean hits the beach
The deep blue sea.
Washes down the sand
And helps me think for me.
Trees whisper in the wind.
Telling their comrades about the folly of us.
They want our folly to rescind.
But in the end I’m ok.
The dog barks.
I look, see nothing.
The sound travels through the dark.
But reaches nothing.
The world is turning around.
Serene times I want to stay.
I wish peace could just be found.
To brighten up the day.
