Façade
Is it true?
The smile I show
The act I play
Perhaps you should know
My heart is in dismay
I sit alone
In corner of a room
The joy of others
Shadowed by my gloom
I smile
And it hurts
I laugh
When I want to cry
I am a good person
Rich in personality
Yet empty now inside
Who am I hiding?
Would surely bring calamity
Me and myself
I smile
And it hurts
I laugh
When I want to cry
I watch them
I hear them
They are so wrong
What they complain
It all might as well
Go down the drain
They don’t want “to be abused”
They want “love of kind”
yet they abuse
The people they idolise
And love the people
They they victimise
I smile
And it hurts
I laugh
When I want to cry
And now
All they see is...
The darker side of me
They love to hate
Lust for loathing
It doesn’t matter who
I smile
And it hurts
I laugh
When I want to cry
I smile, I laugh
It hurt and looks daft
And I can cry
