Scarred from years
Of work and pain
Wrinkles of wisdom
Of age and days

Your shaky joints
Need help and repair
But you will continue
Even in all despair

Magic lies inside
Such beautiful wings
So delicate they glide
Over everything

Your mind often fails
But your hands can always tell
All of the tales
From birth to farewell

This piece was inspired off of a class project to write a poem about hands and is about my grandfathers hands and everything they have been through over time.
