White Paper License
Nervousness settling in.
 My hands are shaking.
I get called to the grey desk.
I’m told to wait in the car.
The person before me walks by.
Disappointment across their face like a mask.
I put my left arm up,
I put my left arm out,
I put my left arm down,
 and the test begins.
 Right, left, stop, turn, straight,
 Yield, slow, go.
 I managed through it with
 the odds against me.
I park in the second space
 from the left.
 The instructor turns
 to me and says
 Congratulations you passed!
 As she hands me my
 White Paper License.
