He Says He's Sorry
He came the other day,
So much remorse it seemed,
Maybe he’s just a good actor?
Could he really miss you as much as he said?
If he did, why did he leave?
Why tell you he misses you,
If not to cause you pain,
Because when you read it you cried,
You wished you were in his arms,
You wished you could hit him, or scream out loud.
He said three words, not exactly the ones you wanted to hear,
I miss you…and then,
I’m sorry.
You should be and so much more,
Yet I can’t help but still think and feel it…
I love you, you idiot.
