Who am I?
Can you see past the mask?
Do you know the real me?
Or do you see what I want you to see?
I hide behind my little wall
Waiting for someone to call me out
No one does
I square my shoulders, acting tough
Waiting for someone to tell me I'm weak
No one does
I smile with all my plastic
Waiting for someone to detect the lie
No one does
I stare you straight in the eyes
Waiting for you to see the pain
But you don't
Who am I?
Can you see past the mask?
Do you know the real me?
Or do you see what I want you to see?
