One More Night
A silent breath
and muffled tears;
she doesn’t know
how to fight it
it hurts
it burns
and she’ll never have
another chance
to do it all again.
she feels stupid
and guilty
and completely ashamed.
how to go on?
its just life
and she shouldn’t blame herself
that's her prediction
of what they will say
when she confesses her pain.
but what
if she stops breathing
would it change the past
would it change the night
she doesn’t like losing
losing control
losing friends
losing someone who actually cares
and missing out on the final good-bye
how could she be so stupid
so tired and loud
and so very embarrassed
she should just grow up
and get over the hurt
and let go
of saying good-bye
a letter’s enough
to muffle
the tears
and keep her alive
just one more night
