My Fear
I have some fears like most people do,
One is my closest on its angle of view.
When its pinch black and the lights go out,
It is quite scary, I can say without a doubt.
Through the crack in my door is what makes me hide,
I think in my head, what could be inside.
I know I’m too old to know there’s a ghost,
But I have to be brave, as brave as the most.
“This is childish”, I say “I’m not scared of anything,”
I get up real fast because I heard a loud ‘CLING’.
I’m looking around like I can actually see,
I open my closet try to look at what it could be.
There’s nothing there, nothing to be scared about,
I move some clothes around just to check it out.
I put my head down and go back to bed.
I guess I’ll just sleep and dream the rest in my head.
