I’m sitting in his car,
as he turns down the radio.
My hands slide across the cold
leather seat.
An awkward silence.
I can feel his eyes
trying to catch mine.
I take a deep breath
as I look up.
He leans closer
and lightly touches my cheek.
I close my eyes
and try to act as if I have done this before.
