The Fire
The fire
 Lust’s desire
 The flame
 Of fame
 Oh how it burns
 Licking wisps
 Of heat at every turn
 Scorching reminders
 Of what you’ve earned
 The life
 The body
 What you hold most dear
 Your biggest fear
 Is that they fade
 With every day
Every second brings you closer to your last
 Though
 You’ve been through hell
 And made it back
 Believe me
 It still waits
And burns brighter for you with each passing day
 Brighter
 And brighter
 With white-hot hate
 You can’t escape
 Or run
 Or Hide
 So release your pride
 View your world
 With unbiased eyes
Because regardless of what you’ve done
 Or the things you own
 You’re far from special
 Because eventually
 We all fall
 Eventually
 We all die
Whether you lived a life most pure
 Or lived as a liar
 You’ve lived
 Nonetheless
 So just welcome
 The fire
