I wonder how many birthdays,
Were in these last three minutes
How many people where bombarded,
with others congratulations?
And how many people were forgotten?
How many babies where born?
how many people died?
was it enough time for a girl to get sick,
or a man to get drunk?
Was it enough time for a flower to wilt,
or a child to cry?
Did someone get hurt?
or were there spectacular reunions?
Did the child finally escape?
Or is he still trapped?
How many "i hate you's" were said?
How many fist were thrown?
was there a divorce,
where two people separated forever?
is the sky storming,
with buckets of tears?
Did the dance end,
before anyone could enjoy it?
How many tears fell,
without anyone seeing them?
How many lives ended,
without us knowing it?
Did the world turn over,
to send us flying into the sky?
or am i just dreaming?
Dreaming of a world in ruins.
But then again maybe everyone else is dreaming,
and I'm the one left awake.
