Scared of Being Seen
I'm scared of being seen.
 Scared of being known.
 Scared of being understood.

While I'm not, I have something to blame my pain on.
 I can lie to myself.
I can pretend that the only reason I am upset is because no one gets me.
But there's more to it than that.

I don't want you to know what's underneath this smile.
Because when you do you will have discovered my secret.
 And you will know me.
 And I don't want that.
