I had always wanted to be loved
Instead, I was always pushed and shoved
When you came along, my world became whole
You replaced the missing fragments of my soul
You trusted me with your secret
My love, there was no need to fret
I remained by your side,
For I knew you had not lied
You bared your heart,
And I bared mine from the start
One day, you sealed your chest
And disappeared like all the rest
I tried coaxing you to talk,
But I could not find the key to your mouth, the lock
There were rumors you had found another
I suppose I was merely "the other"
I see now that you never did love me
For I am nothing compared to she
I am slowly withering away, it's true,
