Many chances for failure
to not live up
futures lost
habits formed
leisure lost.
Reborn into their lives
rebellion silenced
free thinking buried, replaced by their ideals.
It's meant to be our choice
yet, controlled and manipulated into someone's good.
Returned and affirmed
myself is who I'll be.
No one else.

As you grow it's hard to decipher who you truly want to become as a person and what you've been told or been suggested to become. It's hard to grow into oneself without the fear of being judged for having different values and beliefs that are not those expected from the people around you.
