Planet of the
Down below
I see the land of night
A reflection, a portrayal
Of the starry skies
A sea swathed in black
No beacon, no hope
But behold!
I view a promise
A dark blanket dotted with lights
Each dot holds its place
In the cosmic void of earth
An exhausting state of nothing
that neither forgives nor relents
Yet the lights fight back
Grasping to their ideals
Of guidance to the lost,
Of relief to the abandoned.
I fly in search of good
Once I find it,
I know
To travel into freedom
was all I ever sought
