It contains over-stretched socks
Used paper plates and wrappers
Tags from new clothes
And chains of old jewelry.
It's filled with emptied water bottles
A shoebox that held camera lensese
shipped from family in Kentucky
Maybe one day this poem
will join in the collection
of old, used, and broken items
In my trash can
