Of the Heart
The heart is but a piece of glass
That many ponder yet none can grasp
It breaks into one million pieces
But as it breaks, its beat never ceases
Filling it with things to hold
Until it cracks; destroys the mold
Pressure builds for just so long
Eventually something must go wrong
But when it does there’s always tape
Or glue to mend what others break
Some will have just what you need
Others waiting to be freed
But know that what the heart can hold
Will fill it lightly and ease the soul
Like water, pure, that fills the urn
Love shall fill a heart in turn
