Deep Inside
Who was I kidding,
Thinking this time would be different
Not when the tears I cry
 Are because of you
 Even when you said
 They wouldn't be

 The good times we had
 Dance around
 Like haunting memories
 Lurking in the dark
 Waiting for my weakest moments
 To tear me down

Strength is nowhere to be found
 Draining from me
 With every tear that falls
 Endlessly streaming
 Cascading down
 Into oblivion

 The world will never know
 How much pain I hide
 How many tears I've cried
 But if anybody asks
 They'll just say I died
 Of a broken heart
