White Horse
I thought I knew you but, I didn't
Your heart seemed lighter in the distance
Your hands able to keep me warm
Your eyes held all my attention
My eyes glimmered when I saw you
My heart melted when I met you
But the more I got to know you
The image began to fade
I'm ashamed I let you have me
Let your words make me speak bravely
Told you tales I haven't told many
Enough to make you think you knew me
Maybe it had nothing to do with you
But what society placed upon me
In constant search for a white horse
That never really comes
