"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth." - Oscar Wilde

I cast my ship towards the sea,
Its' paper hull swayed on the stream
The silver licks across its' side
Burning in the sun as it caught the tide.
It ran along with frosted foals.
It danced around the rays of gold

I cast my ship away from time.
I cast it down the borderline
Between the future and the past,
I tied my white flag to the mast.
I hid my memories deep within
With all my dreams and every sin.

I followed my ship down to the sea
Where fifty thousand ships of dreams
Sailed together towards the sun,
All scorched to ashes one by one.
And with tears teetering on the brink
I watched my paper ship burn and sink.
