Swollen Eyes and the Same Old Lies
The clock sees a time only the owls know of,
You stay up late and think you’re the only one,
No one else knows your struggles,
They don’t know the battles you've won,
Silent soldier, thinking you are weak,
Weak because you hide what you feel and you feel more than you reveal,
Up late with your red eyes,
Pondering who to pull out your problems to,
Who to unload all your heavy luggage onto,
But you stand silent,
Still as of made of marble
Wanting to scream to anyone who will listen,
Stand there with your eyes full of glisten,
Stand their silent in all your pain,
All those tears won’t stop the rain.
