Our World
Faces,
Is that what you call it?
Cause mask are what I see;
Used to hide, the lies behind,
And convince you otherwise,
Of life's reality.
And all the while I am lost.
Lost in their smiles,
There "Hi's" and "goodbyes,"
But most of all, their lies.
Drowning from my tears,
Hiding behind the eyes,
From which i cry,
There is too much fear.
So much fear that overpowers my mind,
Cause just like the world you are blind.
Blind in the sight of real and make believe,
Cause like many others you have been deceived.
Fooled into thinking you have a choice,
Wrong, cause no one hears your voice.
No matter how big your dreams may seem,
No one hears your screams.
Except for me.
I hear your cries loud and clear,
There is nothing that can compare.
I've been there.
Wanting to be seen and wanting to be heard,
But face it,
This is the world.
