My Life of Sports
Sports in my life are like work in an adult’s life.
Some days we enjoy the sport or workday,
and other days
we have a bad practice, terrible game, or lousy day in the office.
Whether the game or practice be long or short, good or bad,
I go out, try my hardest, and have fun.
The fun I find in sports is like the excitement many people bring to the 4th of July celebration.
After hitting the buzzer-beater for the win at the end of a game,
or scoring that goal from 30 yards out,
I feel like that bright, flickering star standing out in the sky.
All eyes are on me.
The screaming sounds of the coaches are like the rolling thunder claps throughout the sky during a storm.
Both are intimidating but the fear and intimidation can be overcome.
I will give it all I’ve got,
whether it be on the court, on the field, or on the diamond.
The 110% is what I’m in for
and the success that comes along with the hard work and determination is even better.
In the end
I know it’s all for the love of the game.
