A beginning, middle, end.
I met you in the winter, the hot breath of music on our skin.
I met you under the bar lights, but the night had to end.
I fell in love with you in the summer, the crackle of the phone and the train our sound, I loved you in the summer, grasping for a way to be found.
We ended in the winter, the cold leaving me bare. We ended before we really began, you were never, ever even there.
