Ants!
As I observed a little worker ant

 (Oh how unnoticed was she)

I saw how tremendous her strength was

Carrying twenty times her own weight

 And then some!

 (So normal yet special)

She had broken off from all the others

 And tried to support herself

 (So lonely yet energetic)

 Dodging rapid raindrops

 And voracious predators

 (So eager to live)

 What an intriguing little creature

My interest and curiosity was piqued

 (I saw potential in her)

Unable to see her innermost intricacies

I had acquired a magnifying glass

As I got closer to see

 Her most delicate features

I peered through the magnifying glass

 In delight

 Feeling sorrow for her

 (She burnt to a crisp)
