Humans.
Humans.
With their forked tongues and snapping beaks,
Hissing and growling at their prey
Clawing and scratching deep into their hearts
Ripping out all their aspirations of the day.
They prey on each other to make themselves feel “great,”
Killing the young with just a death stare,
But the young are to quiet to full out hate.
Some even attack their minds,
Snaking their way into their thoughts
And kill them silently from the brain to the heart.
What awful creatures they are,
Wouldn’t you agree?
You can see exactly where they have left their scars
On the ones who used to be free.
Now they just walk silently,
Dragging the invisible chain behind them,
Weighed down by their doubts and insecurities.
But no one seems to care if they have a problem.
