I never really felt quite in place
Never really felt like I had a part in things
I was the awkward outcast
I was never understood
Nobody wanted to try
Got to the point of dreading new people
New people who would learn not to care
Then I met you
As soon as I really knew you
And you really knew me
I finally felt like I belonged
I look at the latest picture of us
And I can truly say
That is my best friend
Who loves and cares about me
Who finally made me feel like I am important
I belong
