Tears of Lost Love
Tears brush my cheeks softly,
I cry over something I'm so familiar with.
My tears comfort me,
My eyes release the everlasting pain they hold within them.
They've seen things I wish I could save them from,
Now, the tears keep coming,
Hoping to wash away all the pain,
Hurt and anger.
My body screams of an addiction I hope would have been forgotten,
My heart strings tell me it's okay for this occasion.
My mind tells the desire to be silent,
And endure the pain with my age.
My eyelids play a movie,
An old one,
They continue to rain a rain that will never stop,
Even if it were all to go away.
