I will never forget
I will never forget
I will never forget the day you died,
And most definitely not those tears strewn across my face that I had cried,
Taking deep breaths to cope, a many I had sighed
As I slowly am starting to return to normal I have a new found sense of pride
The honor of being your grandson, teaching me how to be a man; rules I shall always abide
Another thing I also know is that whatever I choose to do in life I know you will always be by my side
Acting as an illusion, something for only my eyes to see, working as my life travel guide
You would be the best at that due to the wonderful life you lived
But in all honesty, I wish you would have survived
In order to see my graduation, and see the happiness in your eyes
To be able to ask you questions about life, and you to be able to answer all of the whys
To give me tips about life, like when people are being honest, and when things are just lies
I know I won’t be 18 for ever, because when you are having fun time flies
I just wanted to let you know that you will always be in my memory, something that never defies
I love you Grandpa
