sticks and stones,

may break my bones

but words and thoughts

will scar me forever.

they will scar my brain.

my soul

my mind

even my skin.

words are forceful,

they make me drag a razor

across my skin

they make me burn

and etch themselves

into my brain.

they rip and tear my heart

and force me back down

in that dark hole

words hurt everyone.

why cant you understand that?

I Wrote this when i was going through a harsh time, i had lost three friends during the course of one month and it was taking its toll on me.

You put so much feeling into this poem, and yet the flow was pretty good, it didn't sound too choppy. Good work!
