I Am a Lover with No Fight
I am a lover with no fight.
I wonder if soul mates are even real
I hear wedding bells
And see fireflies
only in deepest night
I am a lover with no fight.
I pretend I have a future
I feel love is only imaginary
I touch the clouds but come down screaming
I worry there is no beam of light
I cry for someone with meaning
I am a lover with no fight.
I understand some settle down
I say "of course it's love!"
I dream of using that fake smile
And try not to make it smug
I hope the innocent keep on reeling,
But I am a lover with no fight.
