You Will Hate Me.
I color my eyelids brown, which emphasizes my sleep deprivation,
In order to make my eyes “pop”,
I never understood why fluttering eyelids was a flirting technique,
To look like a stray eyelash had gotten stuck on your iris,
I notice the large gap of space between us when we are speaking,
It’s a large canyon, a gap in the universe where the lines of communication get tangled up like wire,
The words are fluid, deprived of any sort of meaning, but the silences are dimensional,
Why won’t he look at me?
Do the shallow cracks in the aged pavement provide more appeal?
Does the tufts of dead weed that unravel between your shoes enlighten you more?
The bend in his knees emphasize the strain of the combined weight of existence that rests souly on his shoulders,
I hate the way my voice sounds, so innocent I’m an idiot,
So sweet, I’m condescending,
I will break your heart,
I will lift you up and then let the earth receive your fall,
And the worst part is I wont do it on purpose.
