I Cried
Giving them all
A small piece of my heart
It’s going to slowly
Tear me apart.
Trying to please one
And then another too,
Never knowing what to do.
My heart torn
So many times
And all I do is
Sit and write in rhymes.
I can’t please them all,
No matter how hard I try.
I always fall.
I always cry.
I try the impossible
To see what I can do,
But I always end up
Losing one of you.
I love you all,
Why can’t you see?
You are all my life,
Each a small part of me.
To have one ripped away
Causes the pan
I feel every day.
“If love is a labor, I’ll slave till the end.”
You said it yourself
But your life and mine constantly bend
When all I need is help.
My love for you,
Strong as the trees.
But now I cry,
Bent upon my knees.
Ask for your forgiveness,
Wish once more for your love
And cry as I watch
My wish float above.
It may not reach you,
But at least I tried..
And now you will know
How, every day, I cried…
