Sometimes I wonder if I am just a number.
?Just the passing figure you see out your car window
?As you worry about more important things.?
The one you might remember had nice socks.
?Just a fleeting thought.
Just that random classmate you’re glad you aren’t?
When she fails a test and holds her head in her hands,?
While you celebrate your perfection in comparison.?
Just the random girl that no one notices.
Just the girl, dashing through the rain,?
Clinging to life with white knuckles?
While others let it slip away into oblivion.
?The girl that will become the world.?
Sometimes I wonder if everyone else is a number.
