She closed her single eye,
And her red lips sunk past the horizon.
What glory is there in that? you ask me.
You cannot see her eye, with iris blue
You cannot see her hair, with waves green
You cannot feel her warmth, you cannot see her beauty
What glory is there in that?

Let me tell you.

Do you taste that?
Her sweet song carried upon her sweet breath.
Do you smell that?
Her sweet melody dancing upon my lungs.

Do you see that?
A thousand thoughts, shining in her mind.
A thousand dreams, too vast for you
(Too vast for I.)

Do you see that?
A millions worlds, turning in the sky.
A million memories, too vast to feel
(Yet here I'll try.)

Do you feel that?
Violins, plucking heartstrings
Lifting us with angel's wings.

Cold grass, flowing through our nose
And taking root in our toes.

Darkened trees, looming above
Not of sadness, but of love.

Stark sky, spanning o'er the ground
She is a queen, thusly crowned.

Do you feel that?
A thousand thoughts, shining in my mind.
A thousand dreams, so clear to you
(And clear to I.)

And here, for you,
Let this ring true:

There is glory in her rest,
Her sleep, spun for you, so blessed.
