Silence
It's when the rain seeps down from the skies,
And all the birds have gone to sleep,
And the darkness is my only friend,
 That I feel like this

It's the feeling I get when the tears won't cease,
And the knife calls out to me
 But I remain,
 My whole-hearted and kind self,
 Even with my mask on,
To which no human can look through

There are days my tears drip through
But even then I shield myself with another
 Mask

 Though I never reach out,
 I know there is someone,
 Somewhere,
Who will look through my silence,
 And kiss my tears away
