Change
I’m worried if I write what’s in my head that people will judge
My friends keep pushing me to it but I just won’t budge
When did this world become such a judgmental place?
That now we are getting judged by race
We can’t chose where we come from
And trust me, it won’t help being numb
We need to be fully alert for this
We need to be that change that everyone will miss
Truth is this isn’t something you can just dismiss
Especially when you open up and reminisce
About everything that has happened in the past
But we need to make sure that the past stays in the past because this way of thinking can’t last
