Black Hair
I hid behind the window still,
Holding back every will.
Darkness is my friend,
I knew this until the end.
A thin line covered me from light,
Feeling a fight with night.
I hid,
And hid,
Till the mornings gaze hit me.
I pulled back my hood,
There stood the enemy.
My black hair full of dark,
Exposed my true colors,
Underneath laid a bright true me,
How I always wanted to be.
When the daylight peeks,
It always shows the way,
Away from everything gray.
