Freedom
Freedom is never free.
Someone has to pay the price for it.
People have, people will, and people still do.
They fight for you,
they fight for me,
they fight for the little girl
that lives down the street-
the one you see outside.
She's outside, everyday,
playing with her little dog.
You see her,
you see how happy she is.
You know that she'll be raised,
that little girl,
in freedom.
And maybe she doesn't understand
the cost, the loss,
that some may suffer for that freedom.
But.
Freedom is never free.
Someone has to pay the price for it.
People have, people will, and people still do.
So those who go out there,
they pay that price,
that ultimate part of them,
they know.
They know that they are out there to earn freedom.
Freedom for you,
freedom for me,
and even freedom for the little girl that lives down the street-
The one who will know,
maybe not fully understand how,
or maybe not even why,
but she'll know.
She'll know that she's free.
