Its so common,
we barely notice it.
It bends and flows,
its raised high and low,
in an attempt to grab our attention,
it does deserve.
It was once worth the lives of thousands;
but isn’t seen as
being worth 2 minutes of our day anymore.
Its birthday is remembered
but not in the way it was meant to be.
Were used to going through the words
but we don’t think it through.
The words are just words,
without a meaning.
In the eyes of the people,
it’s just cubes on a cloth,
but there is so much meaning,
packed between the cubes.
It was made to make the peoples eyes sparkle,
when they take a look at its bending and flowing,
its being raised high and low.
