Fears
Hung low, like clouds
Deep a black as night itself.
Its shadows watch, lurk.
Down the street as I walked,
Thoughts wriggled throughout my mind.
The smell of salt stung the air;
From street side to shore side,
Secluded from the world.
The clouds, they vanished,
The night stayed,
So long overdue.
A silent sloshing, the closeness it grew,
The smell grew stronger, speed hastened.
A demon from the sea in his mind.
It prowled so close now,
His lungs burned.
Fear,
The creature, is ready to claim its victim,
Break him down, and drag him back to the dark sea,
Into the abyss.
