My Thinking Corner
Drip drop, drops drip from the door outside
My little quiet cove in which I can confine
Little tiny tisks of the clock pass me by
But away I stay where only I can see myself cry
Thunder thrusts through the night sky
My hungry hopes start to die
Drunken dreams and gutted goals grasp me as if to take my hand
Though these thoughts of mine still sink me in the sand
I steal stolen hope and wish for the best
After that, it’s up to life to do the rest
Drifting down darker paths I can’t control my mind
Moving pictures fill my head forming a sign
Memories migrate my mind to a happy place
One where I passed the test, and always won the race
My grip is falling short, don’t you dare give up this fast
Or else, I will forget the stories of the past
