I see you

I see those tears behind that smile. I see you wanting to hide behind that laughter.
You’re not fooling me. I know you!
I see you. I can see past your eyes. It’s a slap in the face when you say, “I’m okay!”
It’s a gun being fired when you say, “There’s nothing wrong with me!”

I feel my heart stop when you say, “I’m not sad.”
It’s like trying to find my way out of a corn maze when trying to figure you out.
I feel like screaming when I see you hurting inside.
“I see the truth behind your lies.”

Come to me and I will wipe away the pain they have caused you.
Cry me a river when you are sad.
Let your feelings be a chapter in a good book.
You’re hiding your feelings inside.

And just like that crash! You fell down!
I pick up your broken pieces and glue them together.
Never let go of the glue.

Look me in the eye and tell me the truth!
Don’t fall; if you do I will catch you.

You have fallen in a hole.
I’m reaching for your arm, but you’re so deep into that hole that I need a rope to pull you out. Once out you trip
And fall again.

I’ve got you in my arms.
I see you hiding behind your happiness!
The world is looking at you.
They don’t see the real you.
I see the real you.

I see happiness.
I see fear.
I see someone who is hurting.
Don’t let them overcome you.

Don’t run into that wall of sadness!
It’s not kind.
Run away.
Run away from Hate.

You’ve come too far to turn around now!
Don’t look back.
It’s not good for you.

Don’t let the wrong emotion trick you.
Don’t let it kidnap you. Don’t let it kill your only friend, Hope.
Don’t let Hope die because of what you’ve done.

Don’t let Emotion take Hope away from you.
Don’t let it play mind games.
Instead kill it with Kindness, Love, and Happiness.

Overcome your Demon, Fear.
And don’t let it make kids who He will name Hate and Sadness.
They will pick on you.

Tell Faith to beat them.
Tell their mother, Depression.
Let her know that everything is alright and she has nothing to worry about.

You’re sitting and staring at me and I am listening to you.
You’re telling me everything that I need to hear.
I see you.
You’re my best friend helping me out.
