Diseased World
Love has faded;
All hope is lost.
Where is this substance
In this world we used to know?
Kindness seems to not exist
In this place of total darkness.
You are like a baby bird,
Innocently trying to find your wings.
Yet you are knocked down
Time and time again
By those that should be lifting you up,
Helping you soar to new heights.
But you mustn't give up;
No you're too good for that.
Lift that chin up
That has been pointing to the ground.
Paint a smile on that face
And show the world that you're strong.
You're a survivor;
A survivor of the brutal disease
That we call society.
