Am I In or Out?
I'm on one side of a chain-link fence.
The hot sun beats down on my luminescent skin
I feel my heart get dense.
Who, in this battle of destruction, will win?
I'm torn apart inside
Numb
So I run my fingers on the fence,
A little grin
Feeling again.
I hear a wicked woman,
A coach.
Another one in the distance, but a man.
Maybe they aren't distant
Maybe it's me.
Are they in the fence,
or am I?
I can't get away from it.
It and all coming with it.
They leave, but I'm stuck.
I'm locked in on the free side of the fence.
