I'm a Colorful Soul

Some days, I’m a watery turquoise,
slipping like sand through thoughts and fingers,
a crashing, crushing force of energy and sea foam,
just waiting for a lapse in judgement.
Other days I’m muted easter egg pink,
light, stylish, shy, self-conscious,
second guessing everything I do,
pausing for another leader to take my place.
Everyone can tell what I am today;
I’m feeling pretty in pink.
