The top is so near, I can hear the peak calling
Still climbing to the top and I don’t fear falling
So I hold on tight, like handle bars on bike
I was slow they told me to speed up now I’m fast cliché
All the people that I lost to and my team mates
First place looks like I should be in it
Passing runners left and right they seem a little winded
Eating good, running fast my focus
Race starts I’m at the finish line if you didn’t notice
I only see wins on my stat sheet
My team only gets wins at every track meet
And if you talking bout losing I don’t speak that
And if you want to race you know where I will be at
Brand new track got bounce like a trampoline
And the crowd making noise like a tambourine
Now I’m in the lead and team cheering
The other team mad where’s their team spirit
NOC conference champs I got another plaque
1st place on the podium I put us on the map
College offers with full scholarships just waiting
Now I’m in the Olympics racing against the Jamaicans
